WASSA AMENFI EAST LAUNCHES CONSTRUCTION OF 24-HOUR ECONOMY MARKET AT B-SCHOOL

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly has officially commenced the construction of a 24-Hour Economy Market at B-School in Wassa Akropong, marking another important step towards creating more opportunities and improving economic activities within the Municipality.

The groundbreaking ceremony brought together Nananom, government officials, Assembly Members, heads of departments, community leaders, traders and residents who gathered to witness the beginning of the much-anticipated project.

The event was graced by the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Hon. Nicolas Amankwah, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, alongside other dignitaries and stakeholders.

The project is expected to provide a modern, well-organised and convenient trading environment where economic activities can continue beyond the traditional daytime hours.

When completed, the 24-Hour Economy Market is expected to create jobs, provide better facilities for traders, increase commercial activities and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of Wassa Amenfi East.

Speaking at the ceremony, stakeholders called for strong collaboration among the Municipal Assembly, contractors, traders, community leaders and residents to ensure that the project is completed on schedule and becomes a valuable asset to the Municipality.

The commencement of the project represents a significant milestone in the development of Wassa Amenfi East and reflects the Municipality’s commitment to promoting economic growth and creating new opportunities for its people
