PROVISION OF START UP CAPITAL / TOOLS FOR PWDS

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly presented items 70 marginalized persons living with disability (PWD) at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly. They comprise of females and males.
The items which cost GH¢ 70,000 comprises of liquid and shower gel materials as well as rubber basin and wooden spatula. The donation formed part of the Assembly support to the PWD and their activities which intends to improve their livelihood and also in line with the requirement of disbursement process which seeks to ensure that PWDs trained in employable skills are supported with start up to establish their businesses.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Frederick Korankye expressed his gratitude to Rotary International for executing such project in the Municipality. He promised to monitor the project and help the various communities in taking good care of them. Again, he pleaded with Rotary International to consider the Municipal Assembly in future projects because Oliver will always ask for more.
To ensure beneficiaries use these items for the intended purpose, the Social Welfare and Community Development Department were urged to intensify its monitoring activities. The beneficiaries expressed their joy, gratitude and excitement as they received the items and cash and pledged to work harder to be self-reliant.
