the Physical Planning Department organised a public sensitization programme on development and planning at Ankonsia
This was to educate the people of Ankonsia to understand planning and development and also the need to apply for building permit and development permit before development start.The physical planning Officer explained to the people of Ankonsia on the following topics "the importance of having a community planning schemes".
• Building permit acquisition • Land acquisition and registration • Street naming • Property addressing • Development control enforcement.
He further went on to explained the challenges that affect communities without having a good layout schemes and developmennt without permit. Recent emerging national issues such as floods, demolition of structure at wrong sitting location are all as a result development without permit and lack of proper planning as he explained.
