My first day at school 2023

My First Day at School is an exercise which is held annually at the beginning of every academic year to welcome school children to school most especially those entering Kindergarten (KG) and those joining the main stream school system at basic one and is aimed at motivating the children to stay in school.

In view of the above, Hon. Frederick Korankye the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly in the Western Region and a team which includes; Mr. Francis Asamoah, Head of Supervision Ghana Education Service Wassa Amenfi East Municipal, Abusuapanyni Esuo Kofi, Assembly members, opinion leaders and officers from the Municipal Assembly visited some selected schools in the Municipality to welcome the pupils and encourage them to take their lessons seriously.

The MCE and his team visited a total of FIVE (5) schools namely; Bawdie Methodist Primary School (Bawdie), Ankonsia Primary Methodist school (Ankonsia), Asondua Methodist Primary School (Asondua) Bassanylin III Model School (Wassa Akropong) and Wassa Akropong MA School (Wassa Akropong) with a total number of Two Hundred and Five (205) pupils who were encouraged by the MCE after which they were refreshed.
