MCD handing over 41 motorbike keys to the Assembly Members

Assembly Members in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal have receive motorcycles promised by H.E Nana Akufo Addo to help the assembly members execute their duties and roles in their respective areas effectively.

Presenting the 41 motorcycles, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Helena Appiah urged the Assembly Members to be readily available at all times to attend to the needs of their people. She emphasized that the motor bikes are to serve as means of transport to help execute their official duties successfully as community leaders.

Hon. Helena Appiah in her address at the ceremony which took place at the assembly premises at Wassa Akropong, she cautioned assembly members to desist from the practice of selling motorbikes purchased and allocated to them by the government. "It has come to my noticed that some assembly members in the past sold off the motorbikes, instead of using them to facilitate their work in their various electoral areas" any member who will be found culprit with these bikes will face the full force of the laws.

The municipal coordinating director (MCD) Mr. Ishmael Anaman added, assembly members who don't have license will be licensed in order for them not to fall foul of the laws.
The Presiding Member of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly Hon. Ohemang Akwasi Hayford received the motorcycles on behalf of the Assembly Members and thank the government for the motorcycles given to them and promise to take good care and use it for the right purpose.
