CELEBRATION OF WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY.

The Gender Desk Officer of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Ghana health service and Ghana Education service celebrates WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY. This is observed in the 28th of May every year, for which 2024 edition was themed "Together for a PeriodFriendlyWorld".The day aims to break the silence and raise awareness about the importance of good menstrual hygiene management it also aims to raise awareness, promote menstrual health, and support initiatives addressing period poverty and stigma. Amenfiman Rural Bank, Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council, Municipal Chief Executive,Chiefs of Samang and Wassa Akropong and Wassa Saa supported the program.
