Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly inspects site for 24 hour economy market and demarcates access road corridors.

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ibrahim Awari, has undertaken a site inspection of the land earmarked for the establishment of the 24-Hour Economy Market Project.

The inspection forms part of the Assembly’s preparations to facilitate the development of a modern market that will operate during both the day and night, in line with the Government’s 24-Hour Economy policy. The initiative is expected to boost commercial activities, create employment opportunities, and promote sustainable local economic development within the municipality.

As part of the exercise, the Assembly’s technical team also undertook the demarcation of access roads to ensure convenient and efficient access to the market for traders, transport operators, customers, and other road users. The planned road network is expected to enhance traffic flow and facilitate the smooth movement of people and goods once the market becomes operational. Speaking during the inspection, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Ibrahim Awari, reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the successful and timely implementation of the project. He noted that the market is expected to generate significant economic opportunities for traders, transport operators, businesses, and residents across the municipality.

The exercise was attended by the Municipal Works Engineer, Physical Planning Officer, and other technical and administrative officials of the Assembly.
