1st ORDINARY MEETING OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 9TH ASSEMBLY OF THE WASSA AMENFI EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

General Assembly Meeting was held at the Assembly’s Conference Hall to deliberate on some important matters that impact the Assembly’s administration and development of the Municipality. The discussions focused on key issues such as, revenue mobilization, sanitation and health, education, social intervention programs, road construction, and infrastructure.

The Municipal Chief Executive; Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, the Coordinating Director; Mr. Ishmael Anaman, the Presiding Member; Hon. Amoah George, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments / Units were present. After the opening and the welcome address by the presiding member. ‎The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah in his address provided more details on the key issues stated above. According to Hon. Raymond Ebbah some interventions that will be implemented to increase revenue mobilization will include, repairing the Assembly pickup for easy movement, update of the revenue database, organizing stakeholder engagements, implementation of internal control measures to check leakages, reviving the collection of permits for temporal and permanent structures and prosecution of offenders. Hon. Raymond Ebbah stated that education is a priority to him and therefore, he will institute MCEs best BECE student’s award, expand the school feeding program in the Municipality, and students with disability will receive assisting tools and technology for their education. Elaborating on the social intervention program by the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the National Apprenticeship Program will cover the training cost, machines and monthly stipends for apprentice.

After the acceptance and discussion of Hon. MCE’s Sessional and Executive Committee Report, the Municipal Budget officer, Mr. Geroge Aidoo presented the Mid-Year Budget.
