DONATION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND SOD-CUTTING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HOSPITAL DORMITORY AT WASSA AKROPONG HOSPITAL

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly together with the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East Constituency, Hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime has donated medical equipment wealth USD 20,000 to Wassa Akropong Government Hospital on 11th August, 2020.

The items include Office Chairs, Vita Signs Monitors, Laryngoscope, Fetal Monitor, Head Lamp, Suction Machine (High Pressure), Infant Warmer, Incubator, Delivering Bed and among others.

The ceremony also witnessed a Sod-Cutting for the commencement for construction of Hospital Dormitory for the Wassa Akropong Government Health Facility.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Helena Appiah in her remarks thanked the Honorable Member of Parliament for donating such medical equipment to the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital.
She further urged Hon. Saime to continue his selfless service to the people of Wassa Amenfi East by completing the projects he intended doing by January 7, 2020.

The Municipal Health Director, Miss Felicia Amisah expressed her gratitude to the Member of Parliament (Hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime) and the Municipal Chief Executive (Hon. Helena Appiah) for donating ultra-modern medical equipment to the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital.
She stated that the equipment received will help the hospital and its staff to deliver their best services to the people of Wassa Amenfi East Municipality and beyond. We will take good care of the equipment and the facility as a whole “She noted”.

The Western Regional Minister’s Representative, Nana Charles Werekoh in his remarks thanked the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East Constituency, Hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime for presenting such heavy Medical Equipment to the Wassa Akropong Government Health Facility.
He further promises the people of Amenfi East Municipality that his Government is going to build Nurses Quarters for the Staff of Wassa Akropong Government Hospital to have access to accommodation and deliver better.

Honorable Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime in his remarks disclosed the source of funding for the equipment was based on M.P Common Fund, Corporate Agencies and individual Dignitaries.

The Paramount Chief of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area, Tetreteh Okuamoah Sekyim II in his closing remarks expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Member of Parliament (Hon. Patrick Kwame Bogyarko Saime) and the Municipal Chief Executive (Hon. Helena Appiah) for donating this equipment to the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital.
Nana Okuamoah Sekyim II urged the staff of Wassa Akropong Government Health Facility and the people of Wassa Amenfi to keep the facility clean.
