Amenfi East Municipal Assembly Holds Stakeholders Meeting on Tax Revenue for Economic Enhancement (TREE)

The Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, in pursuance of its mandate to ensure equitable distributions of resources in the Municipality has organized a stakeholder meeting on Tax Revenue for Economic Enhancement (TREE) Project on Wednesday, 15th July, 2020 to review its planned activities for data collection within the Municipality.


The Tax Revenue for Economic Enhancement (TREE) project is being founded by Nederland to support the Municipal Assembly in data collection within the Municipality.  


The Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. George Ansah in his remarks stated that the project is going to start from Three (3) Electoral Areas (Bawdie, Asikafoabamtem and Old Town) as pilot base and later proceed to other Electoral Areas.


He urged the stakeholders to support the project because twenty percent (20%) of revenue mobilization from every Electoral Area will be used to establish project within their electoral area.


He further called on all Assembly Members to help in enhancing more revenue for development in the Municipality.


In conclusion the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr., Bernard K. P. Sakyiama thanked the stakeholders for their contribution and inputs which would go a long way to assist the Municipality achieve its vision.
