- Election of Ghana Society of Physically Disabled (GSPD) Executives in Wassa Amenfi East Municipality.

The members of GSPD within the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality met to elect their executives to run the affairs of the Association for 2 years until 2027. The election was organized on 21st of May, 20125 at the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly Hall and was attended by two Regional Executives of the Association, the Ghana Blind Union president in the Municipality as well as staff of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development in the municipality. 69 out of 75 eligible voters cast their votes. These comprises of 31 females and 38 males. The various positions voted for were, President and Vice President, Secretary, Organizer, and Treasurer.
Mr. Peter Apandago emerged as the Chairman, Mr. Vicent Ashaivor as Vice Chairman, Mr. Joel Mintah as Secretary, Miss Gladys Takyia as Organizer and Akua Baawah as Treasurer.
