WORKING VISIT BY THE REGIONAL MINISTER OF WESTERN REGION.

Wassa Amenfi East - The Western Regional Minister paid a working visit to the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly on 4th June, 2026, as part of efforts to assess development projects and strengthen collaboration between the Regional Coordinating Council and local assemblies.
The Minister was received at the Municipal Assembly Hall by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebaah, Honourable Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, and Unit Heads. The visit coincided with the Assembly’s 1st Ordinary Meeting of the 6th Assembly, held pursuant to Section 28(1) and (2a) of the Local Governance Act, 2016, Act 936.
Addressing the House, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebaah expressed gratitude to the Minister for the visit. He commended Assembly Members and staff for their dedication in formulating and implementing policies that have advanced the Municipality. He outlined the Assembly’s development agenda, which is structured around seven thematic areas: Security; Health, Social Welfare and Community Development; Services/Tertiary Sector; Education; Developmental Projects; Agriculture; Road Infrastructure; and Internally Generated Fund (IGF) Performance.
The MCE also presented key achievements recorded since assuming office, including progress on developmental projects and improved revenue mobilization.
In response, the Western Regional Minister commended the Assembly for its commitment to service delivery and prudent management of resources. He urged the MCE, Assembly Members, and staff to sustain the momentum and ensure government policies translate into tangible benefits for residents of Wassa Amenfi East.
The Minister’s visit ended with an inspection of some ongoing projects within the Municipality and an engagement with stakeholders on challenges affecting development.
