Official Opening of The Temporary Market At Wassa Akropong

As part of measures to make way for the construction of Wassa Akropong Market, the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly head by Hon. Frederick Korankye has made provision for a temporary market for the trader to transact business temporarily as they await for the construction of the new market.
In view of the above a mini durbar was held at the temporary market place to officially open the market for business.

Hon. Frederick Korankye MCE for WAEMA , Nana Kweku Akubi II Chief of Akropong, Nana Asafoakye Badu, Rev. Fr Micheal Hezuah Parish Priest for St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wassa Akropong ,Mr. Joseph Twum NADMO Director WAEMA, Mr. Felix Kurankye Taylor Municipal Works EngineerThe durbar was also attended by market queens, staff of the Assembly, the media, the traders and individuals. In an address by the MCE he informed all present that the temporary market is duly open to transact business. He added that the old market has now been closed to trader but trader can go and pick their belongings but not to transact business there. He also thank the market women for their cooperation and asked them to keep cooperating with the Assembly to bring more development to the Municipality.
Nana Asafoakye thanked the MCE for the role he played in bring the construction of the market to this stage and asked all to cooperate by moving from the old market to make way for the construction of the new market.
