CLEAN-UP EXERCISE HELD AT WASSA BAWDIE.

n fulfillment of the Municipal Assembly’s commitment to environmental sanitation and public health, a clean-up exercise was organized at Wassa Bawdie on Friday, 8th May, 2026.

The exercise aimed to improve environmental cleanliness, enhance public health, and foster community participation in sanitation management across the Municipality. The operation covered the stretch from Dompim Junction, through the principal streets of Wassa Bawdie, to the Bawdie Roundabout.

Dignitaries and participants included Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, Member of Parliament; Hon. Raymond Nana Ebaah, Municipal Chief Executive; Hon. Mathew Manu, Presiding Member; Mr. Awari Ibrahim, Municipal Coordinating Director; staff of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly, particularly the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit; Honourable Assembly Members; media representatives; constituency party executives and members; personnel of Zoomlion Ghana Limited; officers of the Ghana National Fire Service; community members; and volunteers.

The exercise commenced with a brief address by the Municipal Chief Executive, who emphasized the need for collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and healthy Municipality.

To safeguard all participants, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hand gloves, nose masks, reflective vests, and other safety materials were distributed prior to the commencement of the exercise.
